Supercharged GSR - Beat $9K?

I've had a lot of fun and learned a lot about my car over the past few years here, but I think it's time to move on to something new. I thought I'd post a message here before listing the car elsewhere since this board has served me so well. A buyer would also be well served with my car and keeping it in the family here.

I can provide all the detailed information to anyone seriously interested, but the basics are as follows:

- 1996 GSR, red with black leather interior
- 108,000 miles in excellent mechanical condition, stock block, SCed since 60K
- 12 psi with 235WHP/177WTQ, I also have stock pulleys
- EFI PMS engine management with RC 440s
- JR water injection
- Quaife LSD, ACT clutch, Type R flywheel
- Injen 3" intake, DC 4-1 wrapped header, Type R exhaust, 2.5" mandrel bent axle back as well
- New Fluidyne radiator and FAL fans
- Brembo drilled rotors, stainless lines, new brake pads
- Konig Heliums with Falken Azenis (almost new with most of tread remaining)
- All major maintenance done recently including clutch and master slave cylinders, timing belt, water pump and alternator - replaced with Acura OEM parts
- Still gets 26-27 MPG, has stock suspension and is driven 50 miles daily for commuting
- Probably other miscellaneous crap I'm forgetting, AEM FPR, GSS 342 fuel pump, B&M underhood FP gauge, etc.

I'll throw in all the stock parts I've retained as well and a set of 15" steelies with BFG drag radials down to the wear bars.

This car is in excellent condition and is well sorted. I am the original owner and have built this car over several years when routine maintenance was required anyway.

I'm thinking $12,000 for all of it is a reasonable price. This won't be a car anyone needs to sink any more money into - unless of course they want to continue upgrading [img]biggrin.gif[/img] .

Any takers or anyone know someone?

Your car looks really clean! Have you done a compression check on it? I would say 12k is a little much to ask with over 100k miles on the clock, but you never know, just have to find the right buyer.

Thanks guys. The car is very clean, and the last time I checked the compression was 210 across all cylinders, and I have no reason to believe it has changed. I have a new set of plugs to go in, maybe I'll check for fun when I get around to it. It doesn't burn any oil, etc. so the engine bay stays clean (I don't clean it), and I have maintained this car very well since it was also my daily driver. The car runs consistent 8.7/8.8s to this day.

$12K may be a little high, but bluebook is around $7, and if you bought all the parts used, you might be able to spend $12K total, but then there would be a lot of work to do or labor cost, and the tuning, etc. that we've all gone through. That's done already on this car. If someone offers less but they have cash and are ready, I'm willing to listen [img]biggrin.gif[/img] . Besides, someone's got to try and keep the margins up on our cars!

I have a bona fide offer pending for $9,000 that I'm tempted to take, unless someone else can beat it. I still think it's worth at least $10K, but maybe this kid will get a great deal.

Maybe I need to try the EBay route and see what it fetches there, but I'd rather deal with a reasonably local buyer too.

Jump on 9k. Thats a very good price for your car. The resale value of our cars is not very good. Basically we are lucky to get "book" value. I am assuming book on your car is around 7500-8000. Mods are basically all sunk cost (non recoverable).
